Book Review: Produce, Price and Promote Your Self-Published Book by Paul Lima – http://www.paullima.com/books/selfpublish.html
Self-publishing is no guarantee that you will sell millions of copies. Paul Lima then goes on to tell you all you need to know to self-publish your book. He has self-published numerous books, including this one.
He uses the term “target market” frequently. “If you try to write a book that will appeal to everybody, you will mostly likely write a book that will appeal to nobody.”
If you decide to go the self-publishing route this book will detail all you need to know to prepare your manuscript for publishing. The author details all the difficulties and all the details to overcome. He also speaks of the different printers and the different sellers, pricing your book and what you can expect. The author explains ISBN, International Standard Book Number which you will need – one for a print book and one for an e-book.
This book is very detailed with everything you need to know about self-publishing in Canada. You will learn what you need to know, how to choose a printer and the markets. It is a very interesting read.
I highly recommend it.
